NAC: Hungary

1) Introduction

Overview of activity since the last plenary meeting:

Participation in FAI Cat 1. competitions:

None

2) Sport in your country in 2023

FAI Cat 1. event: WMC Hosin 2023

Results:

- 9. place Gémesi Zsolt RWL1

- 6. place Kun Zoltán RWL1

- 8. place Hegedüs- Csapó RWL2

- 2. place: Ferinc- Dömötör RGL2

Locally organized competitions:4 competitions, competing aircrafts number between 5-10 which is low compared to the number of total aircrafts.

Colibri activity : none

3) Regulatory and legal issues

Changes to law still in progress. Due to the actual strict rules, and very slow FAA processes, many airplanes from the category RAL changed to Slovakian registration. A working group has been established to investigate German, Slovakian and Czech registration, education and licensing systems.

600 kg ultralight is expected for 2024, still not in place.
