Sport, at all levels, promotes a series of values such as effort, perseverance, respect and equality. But equality does not mean denying the difference but rather ensuring that everyone, whether men or women, can have the same opportunities to do any sport and to be successful. And it is widely known that men and women have different performance.

Women had shown, also in sport, that they were capable of attracting the interest of society with their great successes and sporting feats.

The participation of women in the Olympics did not begin to equal that of men until the 80s and 90s, even today it is lower in number of athletes and events.

Women's sports will never take center stage if they are not given the necessary space in the media. And it is that, if we take the newspapers of this country and we look for the news of the women's teams we will find much less coverage of their news. A study by the Carlos III University found that women only appear in 5% of the sports press in our country.

The presence of female athletes has only grown since then and the gap between men and women in relation to interest in sport has decreased notably in the last 50 years. That is one of the conclusions drawn from Repucom's latest Women and Sport report (Nielsen, 2016), currently, almost 50% of the world's female population is interested in sport.

There are differences between men and women, not only biological, but also cultural, educational, social…, in a competition the management of risks and decisions are also different. There are differences between men and women, not only biological, but also cultural, educational, social…, in a competition the management of risks and decisions are also different.

h3. Reason

It is very important that there is a female trike category for the social recognition of sportswomen in relation to men. We must fight against the absence of a sporting role in women. In chess there is a female category and that does not mean that a woman is worse, it means recognition and access to sport, creating more visibility.
