After 93 years in Paris, FAI secretariat moved to Lausanne at the beginning of December 1998.

Since the new office at Avenue Mon Repos 24 didn't have conference facilities, the November 1999 CIMA Plenary was held in the vast Olympic Museum main auditorium.
