This is an idea submitted by Marton Ordody based on a competition for microlights which has been run by Vince Ferinc

TASKS

 1.            Balloon Hunting:

Taking off from the DECK and while flying a designated course balloons anchored to the ground and floating about 1 -1,5 meter high are to be „hunted”. There are 3 balloons designated for each aircraft. Balloons can be busted by any part of the aircraft.

Scoring based on the time calculated. Timing starts when crossing the starting gate set before the first goal area, ends when crossing the closing gate set behind the third goal area.

Every missed (not busted) balloon results in a penalty of 30 sec and is added to the time measured. The result of a team is the result of two aircrafts from the team summed.

2.         Bombing:

Taking off from the DECK and flying a course designated a bomb is to be dropped into a target area. The bomb is a sack filled with sand up to about ½ kg. The drop is valid if the bomb hits the target.

Scoring based on the time calculated Timing starts when crossing the starting gate set before the first target area, ends when crossing the closing gate set behind the third target area.

Every missed target area results in a penalty of 30 sec and is added to the time measured. The result of a team is the result of two aircrafts from the team summed.

3.            Shooting

Taking off from the DECK and flying a course the navigator is to shoot balloons anchored along a the course with a paint ball rifle. Balloons are of about 1 meter in diameter. A defined amount of ammunition is measured into the rifle before taking off.

Scoring based on the time calculated. Timing starts when crossing the starting gate set before the first target area, ends when crossing the closing gate set behind the third target area.

Every missed (not busted) balloon results in a penalty of 30 sec and is added to the time measured. The result of a team is the result of two aircrafts from the team summed.

4.                  Bridge storming

Taking off from the DECK and flying a course designated the aircraft is to fly under bridges and designated points on the ground are to be touched between two bridges. Bridges are structures indicated by ribbons.

Timing starts when crossing the starting gate set before the first bridge ends when crossing the closing gate set behind the third bridge.

Every bridge missed (a ribbon gets torn), and every false touch of the ground results in a penalty of 30 - 30 sec and is added to the time measured. The result of a team is the result of two aircrafts from the team summed.

 5.         Landing behind a ribbon

Taking off from the DECK and flying a pattern defined at the briefing the aircraft is to fly above a ribbon stretched at a height of 1 meter before the DECK and is to land in the DECK and to stop the closest to base line of the DECK.

Timing starts when crossing the starting gate set before the first target area, ends when crossing the base line of the DECK.

The distance of the stoppage from the base line is measured. A penalty of 1 sec is added to the time measured for every meter initiated. Tearing the ribbon or touching the ground before the base line a penalty of 100 sec is added to the time measured. The result of a team is the result of two aircrafts from the team summed.

Scoring

Scores obtained when flying the individual tasks are summed. The team is the winner collecting the smallest amount of scores. In the case of a tie the number of tasks won counts. If necessary the positions at the tasks can be added
